Technician Handbook Air Conditioning for Collision Repair Quick Connect A quick connect joint is used for connecting the Suction Tube and the Suction Hose. • The O-rings and the plastic Piping Clamp are NOT reusable. • Not all vehicles have this type fitting. Disconnect To disconnect the fitting: • Press the Suction Hose into the Suction Tube. • Using pliers, squeeze together both sides of the Piping Clamp until it breaks apart. NOTE • Make sure that fragments of the piping clamp do not enter the piping. Connect To connect the fitting: • Install a new Piping Clamp and 2 O-rings onto the Suction hose. • Align the Suction Hose and Suction Tube using the alignment marks.
• Securely insert the Piping Clamp into the Suction Tube until you hear a click. SERVICE TIP Remember to order disposable parts before beginning repairs. Collision Repair & Refinish Training 17
