The cornerstone News Letter The cornerstone News Letter Men's outing Know your rights On Tuesday 11th of March 2014, a number of the men's group met for a meal at Yorkshire fisheries. A wide choice of menu was enjoyed by all. Blackpool the idea place (no pun intended) as such a choice of eateries. To help the meal go down we adjourned to the Hop Inn, had some beverages, chatted and a small pool competition was held. A couple of hours flew by, then we went our separate ways. On the following Fri- day we met at the men’s group and dis- cussed future outings, both local and further a field.
The men’s group is held every Friday from 3.30 till 4.30ish at the Hub, Every one is welcome, we can chat about any subject (with in reasonable boundaries) what is said in the group remains in the group which makes this a good venue to release any ideas you may have. As a photogra- pher said ‘lets see what develops’. By Bob Williams “Most importantly, I Simon won the pool!, seeing that Pete beats me at every thing else it was great to get my own back.” Simon McEvoy Page 7 Page 2
The cornerstone News Letter The cornerstone News Letter Co Morbidity seems to have many definitions but at its most basic level it just means many conditions at the same time , lots of separate issues running along side each other at the same time, each can be linked and impact on the other conditions. in the coming issues of the Hub Cap we will be focusing on a different issues in each edition that can contribute to co Morbidity with tips and suggestions on im- proving over all health.
as we all know physical and mental health are linked and its something that we at Richmond fellowship are dedicated towards tacking in order to help improve the lives of service users by looking at the person as a whole, addressing all issues. Black pool has some of the worst statistics relating to health, such as the life expectances being the lowest in the country, rates of smokers amongst the highest, and contributing factors such as cancer, diseases of the digestive system and accidental overdosing and poison- ing are at high levels according to a new re- port.
Don't forget the hubcap is for you and couldn't happen with out your contributions, the wisdom you have could be the key to help- ing some one else so I will be encouraging and asking you to share your stories, your success- es, your tips and experiences of the subjects we are going to be tackling . We will help you navigate through the world of health services Page 5 Page 4
