Basic command information The text below contains relevant information for the configuration of the Vehicle settings menu. The basic radio system control information as well as the safety and warning displays to be followed are described → page 137. WARNING Accidents and injuries can occur if the driver is distracted. Operation of the radio system may distract from the surrounding traffic happen- ings. System settings and vehicle information display - radio variant 1 Depends on the radio and vehicle version.
After starting the engine with the vehicle's 12 V battery completely flat, or with a re- placement battery in the vehicle, the system's configuration (time, date, convenience and pro- gramming configurations) may have been de- leted or become corrupted. Check and adjust the settings after the 12 V vehicle battery has been sufficiently recharged. ● Always drive carefully and responsibly. After pressing the radio system button, the information can be displayed or settings can be adjusted touching the respective touch pad func- tion.
For example, by touching the selection function button on the Vehicle status menu, it is possible to check on the actual status of systems or system failures to be shown. – Active media. – Vehicle settings → page 29. It is possible to display information or adjust set- tings on the radio display by pressing the button Accessing the Vehicle settings menu – Switch on the ignition. and by touching the respective function sur- faces: – Case required turn the radio system on. – Vehicle settings → page 29. – Press . – Active media. – Touch the function button to open the Vehi- cle Settings menu. – Convenience item. – Radio station selection. – Touch the respective function buttons on the Vehicle settings menu to access other menus or to configure the menu items.
OR Depending on the vehicle version , some informa- tion and settings can be performed on the main radio screen, dragging to the left and selecting the respective function: – Touch the Car function button to open the menu. – Touch the respective function buttons on the Car menu to access other menus or to config- ure the menu items. – Trip data. – Vehicle status. – Operating mode → page 117.
