Navigation Navigation All the options available in the Current Route menu are also available in the contextual menu of the route object on the map. (Find Alternative) 14 Alternative routes at route planning The user can select a route, by tapping buttons at the bottom of the screen or by tapping on the route itself. Once a route is planned the user can select the Find Alternative option in the Current Route menu in order to get two alternatives for his route. The system will calculate distinctive alternatives by penalizing appro- ximately 80% of the route. The user can compare alte- rnatives by difference in time and/or length. The selected alternative becomes the active route.
If the user selects the Find Alternative option while following a route, the system will fully replan the route from the current location and offer two additional alter- to preview that address on the map when the matching result is selected.If the user has selected a partial address. 15 Alternative routes while driving-decide by steering Based on the received traffic information the system calculates routes in the background and proposes an alternative route if a faster route is found. 23 Drive to Route Select this button to calc- ulate a route from the cu- rrent location to the start- ing point of the route.
