SmartLinx Device Net Introduction The Siemens Milltronics SmartLinx 1 DeviceNet module is a plug-in communications card designed to interface a Siemens Milltronics SmartLinx-compatible instrument to a DeviceNet network. Only those instruments which support the DeviceNet protocol can use this card. See Compatibility on page 4 for a list of compatible Siemens Milltronics SmartLinx instruments. PLC or PC monitored process DeviceNet is an open standard controlled by the Open DeviceNet Vendors Association (ODVA). More information is available at the web site www.odva.org.
