Engine Auto-Start/Stop System Controls The EAS system will shut the engine off once it verifies that: The Auto-Start system has several safety interlocks. The following conditions must be met before the system can be enabled: 1. Batteries have exceeded a preset state-of-charge 2. Sleeper temperature has met the user preset temperature Ignition switch must be in the "ACC" or "OFF" position, or the key removed. 3 The EAS system is controlled with a switch on the dash and communicates with the vehicle operator through the driver information screen. Hood must be CLOSED.
