Heat the ring around the entire circumference, then drive the gear off the flywheel using care not to damage the flywheel NOTICE Never heat the ring to a red hot condition this will change the metal structure Uniformly heat the ring gear to a temperature that will expand the gear to permit installation. Temperature must not exceed 204 (400 ). As soon as the ring gear has been heated install it on the flywheel.
