Cylinder Heads Valve Clearence (1) The 4.3 liter engine has screw-in rocker arm studs with positive stop shoulders, NO valve adjustment is necessary. When the valve train requires service you simply tighten the rocker arm nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb·ft) . NOTE : When installing the cylinder heads use a new head gasket. Do not use sealer on the composite gasket. Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the following sequence. All bolts are torqued to a torque of 30 N·m (22 lb·ft) .
