INTRODUCTION MACHINE AND ENGINE SERIAL NUMBERS When calling for service of a mechanic or when making a replacement parts order, be sure to give your distributor the machine and engine serial numbers as well as the service meter reading before mentioned. These numbers are found on the number plates shown in the following figures. T l Location of the machine serial number plate It is located on the right side of the front frame, just in front of the center hinge pin area of the machine. - l Location of the engine data plate It is located on the right side of the engine crankcase near the timing gear cover.
