ALTERNATE LOW IDLE SWITCH The alternate low idle switch allows operator to select an alternate idle speed (about 1,200 rpm). This feature is activated whenever the normally open alternate low idle switch is closed and 0 volts are detected by the ECM on the alternate low idle signal line. This is convenient to use when operator wants to decrease warm-up time in the winter.
