SAFETY Precautions for maintenance Safety instructions Accumulator 0. Danger of injury! Pressure accumulator is filled with highly pressurised nitrogen. Do not open or damage the pressure accumulator. The accumulator is charged with high-pressure nitrogen gas. When handling the accumulator, careless procedure may cause an explosion which could lead to serious injury or prop- erty damage. For this reason, always observe the following precautions: Do not disassemble the accumulator. Do not bring it near flame or dispose of it in fire. Do not make holes in it, weld it, or use a cutting torch. Do not hit or roll the accumulator, or subject it to any impact.
When disposing of the accumulator, the gas must be released. Please contact your Komatsu distributor to have this work performed. Personnel 0. Only authorized personnel can service and repair the machine. Do not allow unauthorized personnel into the area. If necessary, employ an observer. Attachments 0. Appoint a leader before starting removal or installation oper- ations for attachments. Place attachments that have been removed from the machine in a stable condition so that they do not fall.
