2. Secure the ATV with load rated hold-down straps. NOTE: Suitable hold-down straps are available from your Arctic Cat ATV dealer. Ordinary rope is not recommended because it can stretch under load. The recommended oil to use is Arctic Cat ACX All Weather synthetic engine oil, which has been specifically formulated for use in this Arctic Cat engine. Although Arc- tic Cat ACX All Weather synthetic engine oil is the only oil recommended for use in this engine, use of any API certified SM 5W-50 oil is acceptable. CAUTION When using hold-down straps, care must be taken not to damage the ATV.

CAUTION When transporting the ATV, make sure the emergency/parking brake is engaged, the transmission is in gear, and the ATV is properly secured. Gasoline-Oil-Lubricant OILCHARTI Recommended Gasoline Recommended Front Differential/Rear Drive The recommended gasoline to use in this ATV is EU unleaded 91 octane. In some areas, oxygenates (either ethanol or MTBE) are added to the gasoline. Oxy- genated gasolines containing up to 10% ethanol, 5% methane, or MTBE are acceptable gasolines. When using ethanol blended gasoline, it is not necessary to add a gasoline antifreeze since ethanol will prevent the accumulation of moisture in the fuel system. CAUTION Do not use white gas.

Only Arctic Cat approved gasoline additives should be used. Recommended Engine/ Transmission Oil Filling Gas Tank NOTE: Arctic Cat recommends the use of genuine Arctic Cat lubricants. ! WARNING Always fill the gas tank in a well-ven- tilated area. Never add gasoline to the ATV gas tank near any open flames or with the engine running or hot. DO NOT SMOKE while filling the gas tank. CAUTION Any oil used in place of the recom- mended oil could cause serious engine damage. Do not use oils which contain graphite or molybdenum addi- tives. These oils can adversely affect clutch operation. Also, not recom- mended are racing, vegetable, non- detergent, and castor-based oils.

Since gasoline expands as its temperature increases, the gas tank must be filled to its rated capacity only. Expansion room must be maintained in the tank particularly if the tank is filled with cold gasoline and then moved to a warm area. 43 Lubricant NOTE: Arctic Cat recommends the use of genuine Arctic Cat lubricants. The recommended lubricant (front differ- ential and rear drive when applicable) is SAE approved 80W-90 hypoid. This lubri- cant meets all of the lubrication require- ments of the Arctic Cat ATV. DIVISION II - OPERATION/ MAINTENANCE CAUTION Any lubricant used in place of the rec- ommended lubricant could cause seri- ous front differential/rear drive damage.
