3.2 Explanation of components Operation Monitor system Testing actuation of machine monitor system NOTE When the starting switch is in the ON position before start- ing the engine, lamps (1) in the diagram on the right light up for approx. 3 seconds and the alarm buzzer sounds for approx. 3 seconds. After 3 seconds all lamps except lamps (2) go out. Lamps (2) go out after the engine starts. If any lamps do not light up there is probably a failure or a disconnection, so please ask your KOMATSU distributor to carry out inspection.

If this hap- pens, return the directional lever to the neutral position. The lamp will go out and the buzzer will stop. 2 2 GK032010 z Directional lever (6): Neutral position Directional selector actuation switch (3): ON position 6 Directional selector switch (4): Forward or Reverse position When the starting switch is turned to the ON position with the levers and switches as above described, all directional lever positional pilot lamps (5) will go out.
