Installing the Engine Starter Motor 1. Place the starter into the engine com- partment and secure to the adapter plate with the two required hex flange screws. Photo 7 Photo 7 IMPORTANT Make sure the starter is square with the flywheel and torque the two hex flange screws to 135 in.lbs. (15.3N-m) 2. Reconnect all wiring to the starter solenoid post. Hold down both the “MODE” and “KM/MILE” buttons and turn the key to “Run” (re- lease buttons) Two (2) “Horizontal” bars on water temp. must be flashing for Avenger setup. NOTE If no “ Horizontal” bars are flashing after step 1, press “KM/MILE” button directly (and release) until they do. 3. Avengers - press “MODE” (and release) Frontiers - press “KM/MILE” to eliminate the 2 flashing “Horizontal” bars first, then press MODE (and release). 4. 001 will be flashing in bottom left corner, press “KM/MILE” to change to 002, press 5. 25.0 will be flashing, keep pressing “KM/MILE” to change:
