1.3 AUTOMATIC SOFTWARE INSTALLATION The automatic installation procedure consists in the AutoInstall.cmd command file. This is a sequence of batch commands that install all software pre-requisites and the SidekickPC software using default settings. You must log on as full Administrator in order to make the installation of the software. By default, the automatic software installation procedure installs SidekickPC in the C:\Electrolux\SidekickPC folder. You can however override this default and setup the software in a different directory. Please refer to the next paragraph if you need to change the default installation directory. The following recommendations apply: Windows 10/Windows 11 :
right-click the AutoInstall.cmd file and then select the " Run as Administrator " option. Depending on your actual configuration, the operating system may ask you for a further authorization. Please remember that you must explicitly execute AutoInstall.cmd as administrator even if you are already logged in with an administrative account. Please remember that this setup procedure needs a network connection to install some of the prerequisites. Please remember that this setup procedure does not install the programs that are already installed in your PC After you start the execution of AutoInstall.cmd , you can see the welcome screen: Fig. 1.
