FUNCTIONS OF THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM The electronic control system governs the operation of the appliance by means of a microprocessor in which all the machine control data is stored. The microprocessor is programmed via a serial port. The microprocessor: - receives signals and information from the controls - acts an an interface, re-transmitting the acquired data - provides communication with all the user units - governs the functional control procedures - controls the safety systems and alarms - memorizes and transmits the signals received - ensures that the functions of the appliance are as defined in the project specifications. 18
