Chapter 2 The development of OASys Risk of reconviction and offending related factors (OASys 1 and 2) This includes: ! case identification ! offending information (Section 1) ! offence analysis (Section 2) ! assessment of factors linked to offending (Sections 3 – 12) ! health and other considerations (Section 13). Risk of serious harm, risks to individual and other risks This includes: ! a screening section ! a full analysis section ! a harm summary section. The risks addressed are: ! risk of serious harm to others ! risks to children ! risks to the individual - suicide - self-harm - coping in custody / hostel setting - vulnerability !
other risks - escape/abscond - control issues - breach of trust. The risk of harm summary includes management issues and the risk management plan. The OASys summary sheet There are two versions, one for OASys 1 and another for OASys 2. The summary sheet draws together key information from the assessment of the offender , and includes the scoring schedule that enables the scores from Sections 1 – 12 to be tallied.
