The armature reset is realized by external forces. Depending on the direction of the force output of the armature the distinction between pulling and pushing design is made. DC direct acting solenoids can be used on either side. Designs and Models As described below the different frame solenoids can be divided into the two standards designs “ D-Frame ” and “ C-Frame ”.
D-Frame Solenoids are linear solenoids (single-stroke solenoids) which form a shape comparable to the letter D, i.e. a closed frame.
