STARTING AND DRIVING Limitations for AEB and FCW Warning! AEB and FCW work based on windshield camera and front radar. The systems have limited or reduced functionality in certain situations. VESPER ■ Warnings will only be provided if the collision risk is probable or imminent. You should be aware of the limitations of FCW before operating the vehicle. ■ The AEB function can help prevent a collision or reduce the speed at which it occurs. However, you should always apply the brakes, even if AEB is operating. ■ You are always responsible for maintaining the correct speed and distance in relation to the vehicle ahead. Never wait for the FCW signal or for the AEB system to intervene.
■ When the vehicle speed is high, FCW and AEB cannot identify and respond to pedestrians. ■ Slippery driving conditions : The extended braking distance on slippery roads may reduce AEB capacity to help avoid a collision. ■ Strong external lighting : Strong sunlight, reflections, extreme light contrast may make the visual warning signal difficult to see, and may limit the cameras ability to detect. ■ Heat of passenger compartment : If the temperature in the passenger compartment is very high, the windshield camera may be temporarily turned off and warnings may not be given. ■ Reduced visibility in poor weather :
Intense snowfall, blowing snow, rain, dense fog and dusty conditions on the windshield and front bumper may reduce the system's functionality. ■ Windshield camera/park system’s limited field of vision : The windshield camera and park system has limited field of vision. In some situations they may detect a vehicle or pedestrian later than expected or not detect them at all. ■ Reversing: The system is deactivated while the vehicle is reversing. ■ Low vehicle speed : The system will not be triggered if your vehicle speed is low. ■ Active driver : The system may not react or react later than expected in situations where you actively operate/brake the vehicle.
If there is a problem with the windshield camera or front radar, it may cause AEB and FCW to fail to work properly. , please refer to the (p. ) Caution! Only a Lynk & Co Center can repair AEB/FCW, otherwise AEB/ FCW may not service properly. Visual Park Assist 90 Rear (Camera) Visual park assist 90 rear (camera) provides a rear view of the vehicle through the rear parking assist camera, and displays the image on the central display to help you see the situation behind the vehicle when reversing. 208
