IN CASE OF EMERGENCY Overheating Warning! If the vehicle overheats VESPER Do not open the hood until no steam or coolant can be seen, otherwise there is a risk of being scalded. Note! 4Visually check the coolant level. If the coolant level is correct, the overheating may be caused by malfunction of the radiator fan or a line failure. If the coolant level is low, contact a Lynk & Co center for refilling. The following conditions may indicate overheating of the vehicle: □ The pointer of the engine coolant temperature gauge is in the red area or reduced engine power is felt. □ Warning message of high coolant temperature is displayed on the instrument cluster.
□ Steam is emitted from under the hood. Warning! ■ Do not continue to drive if your vehicle overheats. Doing so could cause engine damage or a vehicle fire. ■ Do not remove the coolant expansion tank cap while the engine is hot. When the coolant expansion tank cap is removed, hot water may be sprayed out, causing personal injury. 1 Move the vehicle safely off the road, apply the parking brake and move the gear lever to the P position. 2Turn off the air conditioning. 3Check for steam or coolant escaping from the engine compartment before opening the hood. 243
