Technician Handbook ! 302 Manual Transmissions & Transaxles Concentric Slave The concentric slave cylinder combines the release cylinder and release bearing into one unit. Hydraulic pressure acts directly against the release bearing to press it against the diaphragm spring. The CSC is not serviceable. Cylinder SERVICE TIP • Replace the CSC whenever the transaxle is removed from the engine. • When the CSC bolts are removed, replace them with new ones. • Bleed the system using the bleeder on the hydraulic line on the outside of the transaxle housing. (Refer to the Repair Manual for bleeding procedures.) 20 Technical Training
