Select an MCCB according to the power supply capacity. 1 Install one MCCB per inverter. For the use in the United States or Canada, refer to "Instructions for UL and cUL" in the Instruction Manual (Startup) or Instruction Manual (Hardware), and select an appropriate fuse or molded case circuit breaker (MCCB). 2 MCCB INV MCCB INV M M When the inverter capacity is larger than the motor capacity, select an MCCB and a magnetic contactor according to the 3 inverter model, and select cables and reactors according to the motor output. Incorrect selection may cause an inrush current at power ON, resulting in output shutoff by the breaker.
Cables and reactors are to be selected according to the motor output as the output current varies depending on the motor output. When the motor output is small, the output current is also small. Therefore, select cables and reactors according to the motor output. However, output shutoff by the MCCB may be disabled 4 if the difference between the inverter capacity and the motor capacity is too large. When the breaker installed on the inverter input side is shut off, check for the wiring fault (short circuit), damage to internal parts of the inverter etc. The cause of the output shutoff must be identified and removed before turning ON the power of the 5 breaker. 6 7 8 9 10 31 2.
