The design and printing of this training manual was made possible through funding from COMPACT (Community Management of Protected Areas for Conservation) and CaribSave. The first Belize Fisheries Department endorsed training course was also funded by COMPACT. Special recognition and acknowledgments go to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) for continued sponsorship of the work since 2009, and Southern Environmental Association (SEA), co-managers of Laughing Bird Caye National Park and Gladden Spit and the Silk Cayes Marine Reserve and partners since 2006.
