Preface Preface About This Manual This manual is written for professional system integrators and PC technicians. It provides information for the installation and use of the SuperServer 8045C-3R. In- stallation and maintenance should be performed by experienced technicians only. The SuperServer 8045C-3R is a high-end quad processor server based on the SC748TQ-R1200 4U/tower chassis and the Super X7QC3 serverboard. The X7QC3 supports four Intel® Xeon MP processors. Introduction The fi rst chapter provides a checklist of the main components included with the server system and describes the main features of the Super X7QC3 serverboard and the SC748TQ-R1200 chassis. Chapter 2: Server Installation This chapter describes the steps necessary to install the SuperServer 8045C-3R into a rack and check out the server confi guration prior to powering up the system.
