Printer laser/scanner cover removal Figure 4-20 Removing the printer laser/scanner cover Prior to this step: Remove the memory card (if applicable), pods, back cover, front door, front cover, scanner, and paper guides. 1 Remove the three screws fastening the Printer Laser/Scanner Cover. Two of the screws are shown in the photo above (callout 1). The remaining screw at the right end of the scanner cover is not shown in the above photo. 2 Disconnect the cable from the Control Panel (callout 2). NOTE: If the Control Panel needs to be replaced, it can be disconnected from the Printer Laser/ Scanner Cover by removing the remaining screw.
