Chapter 4 Advanced Usage Amount of top margin by backfeed 4.0 to 14.0 mm (in 0.5 mm increments) Initial setting: 5.0 mm • Setting the amount of top margin to 14.0 mm disables the backfeed. • The recommended amount of top margin is 5.0 to 12.0 mm. When setting outside the recommended range, check to see if any problems occur in the operating environment. Paper jams may occur in hot and humid environments. • When the paper is fed backward, the paper may get wrinkled or smeared due to a slack in the roll. It is recommended to use thermal paper that has high resistance to abrasion. • Make sure to feed the paper by at least 35 mm before moving the auto cutter.
It the paper feed length is not enough, it may cause a paper jam or make it difficult to remove the paper. When using the TM-L100 Utility and TM Utility, you can specify values in 0.5 mm increments. Paper removal standby • Enabled (initial setting) • Disabled Refer to "Precautions when Developing Applications" on page 117 for precautions on using the “Paper Removal Standby”. Time until changing interface Selectable from 1 to 10 seconds (in 1 second increments) Initial setting:
1 second Select main connection interface • Auto (interface that receives data first) (initial setting) • Serial interface (only for Serial models) • USB • Bluetooth (only for Bluetooth models) • Ethernet or Wi-Fi • USB-A - Device Charging (only for Device charging models/Bluetooth models) • No main connection I/F • When using the printer with multiple interfaces, set the interface that is always connected and used as the main connection. • You cannot use wired LAN and wireless LAN at the same time. • When you do not use the Bluetooth function, set the Bluetooth security level to "Middle" or "High" to prevent unauthorized access to the printer over Bluetooth.
You can change the security level by using Epson TM Utility, TM-L100 Utility, or in the Interface Setup mode. 84
