05 Thebarton Oval Precinct Site Appreciation 19 North-South Corridor DIT Expansion Area The Brickworks Marketplace A S H W I N P A R A D E As a result of the River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project of the North-South Corridor, the Precinct will be significantly impacted by a road widening area and the establishment of a temporary works zone during construction of the project. E A S T S T R E E T KINGS RESERVE Soccer Both the road widening area and temporary works zone will be compulsorily acquired by the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport for the purpose of constructing the T2D project.
Picnic and BBQ pitch S O U T H R O A D Skate area Following construction completion, the temporary works portion of the acquired land is expected to be returned to recreation area and other development land which will support the Thebarton Oval Precinct. park M E Y E R S T R E E T The preparation of the works zone and road widening area will require the demolition of the Thebarton Community Centre, Torrensville Bowling Club, basketball and tennis courts, trees, and approximately 30 percent of the turf area at Kings Reserve. This demolition and tree removal is all undertaken by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport.
