2 Visionscape Digital I/O (DIO) System Components Visionscape Digital I/O (DIO) Visionscape supports interfaces to discrete digital signals from three types of hardware. These are: • Smart cameras • Visionscape GigE cameras • Visionscape PCIe Digital I/O boards The DIO capability oft GigE cameras and PCIe boards is described below. Visionscape GigE Camera I/O Built-In Trigger Input 2 The Visionscape GigE cameras incorporate an input for a trigger signal that can be used to initiate image acquisition. Figure 2–6 shows the input opto wiring (TrigIN) for isolated NPN and PNP sources such as photo-eyes or PLC outputs. FIGURE 2–6.
