Driver assist systems How to operate GRA? Depending on the vehicle equipment, GRA can be operated through the turn signal lever → page 111. General description WARNING Displays When GRA is switched on, the instrument cluster display shows the stored speed and the status of GRA: Small font or gray: GRA is deactivated. The radar sensor installed on the vehicle may be subjected to harmful interference from the external environment (including but not limited to rain, snow, hail, freezing, haze and other weather factors as well as the same or similar frequency band automotive radar, etc.) during the working process.
If no speed has been stored, the instrument clus- ter display will show instead of the speed. Large font or white: GRA is activated. ● If the radar sensor is interfered with, it may cause signal distortion and result in abnor- mal operation of related systems (including but not limited to the infotainment system/ instrument cluster warning, adaptive cruise control system/area monitoring system). In this case, the driver should immediately take control of the vehicle and operate it manual- ly to ensure driving safety. Driving downhill The vehicle speed may exceed the stored speed during driving downhills.
To reduce the speed, the foot brake should be applied and if necessary, shift to a lower gear. WARNING Never use GRA to maintain a constant speed if traffic conditions do not allow for a safe fol- lowing distance. This can lead to accidents and serious injuries. Cruise control system (GRA) ● For safety reasons, never use GRA in areas with heavy traffic, multiple curves, inclines, or slippery surfaces (such as snowy, wet, or flooded roads), as well as on gravel or floo- ded roads. Introduction This chapter contains information on the follow- ing subjects: ● Never use GRA when driving on unpaved areas or dirt roads.
– Troubleshooting 111 – Operating the GRA system 111 ● Adapt your speed and distance from the ve- hicles ahead to suit visibility, weather, road, and traffic conditions. The cruise control system (GRA) maintains a constant speed that you have set ● Switch off the GRA immediately after use to avoid accidents caused by unintentional use. ● Set a reasonable cruise speed that is appro- priate for the weather, road and traffic con- ditions. Failing to do so could result in acci- dents and serious or fatal injuries. . The GRA is available when driving forwards at speeds from around 30 km/h. Driving with GRA The driver can overtake other vehicles at any time at speeds higher than the stored speed.
The GRA control is temporarily suspended during ac- celeration, but resumes at the stored speed once acceleration is complete. ● When driving downhill, GRA may not be able to maintain the set cruise speed, and the ve- hicle may accelerate due to its own weight. In this case, shift to a lower gear or apply the foot brake immediately to reduce speed. Owner's manual 110
