Cancelling control – Press the  button. – Setting the ACC 116 – Troubleshooting 117 The speed remains stored in the memory. Resuming control – Press the  button. The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) main- tains a constant speed that you have set. If the vehicle approaches a vehicle in front, the ACC automatically adapts the speed so that a distance you have selec- ted is maintained. Once the speed drops below the stored speed, the speed limiter will be reactivated. Close – Press and hold the  button. The speed limiter is switched off and the saved speed is deleted (even if the ignition is switched off). . You can set a speed between around 30 km/h and around 150 km/h.

Depending on equipment level, there may be slight deviations in the speed range. Switch to Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – Long press the button  to switch off the speed limiter. Driving with ACC You can override the active ACC system at any time. Control will be stopped if you brake. If you accelerate, control will be interrupted while you are accelerating and then resumed with the set speed. – Press the  button.  Troubleshooting Whether the vehicle is equipped with ACC The vehicle is equipped with ACC if you can ad- just settings for ACC in the instrument cluster menu → page 116.  Please refer to at the start of the chapter on page 112.

Control is interrupted automatically Fault or malfunction. – Switch off and restart the engine.  Driver intervention prompt The red warning lamp on the instrument cluster lights up and an acoustic warning is given. As automatic deceleration by the ACC system is not sufficient or the system limits have been reached, the ACC system will request you to take over control of the vehicle and be prepared to brake. – If the problem persists, switch off the speed limiter and go to a correspondingly qualified workshop. Volkswagen recommends using a Volkswagen dealership.

For safety reasons, the speed limiter switches it- self off completely only when you release the ac- celerator once or switch off the system manually.  Radar sensor ACC detects driving situations by means of the radar sensors in the front of the vehicle → page 5. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) The range of the radar sensor is up to approxi- mately 160 m.  Introduction The adaptive cruise control system (ACC) can- not replace the driver’s attention and operates only within the limits of the system.
