BMW E60/E61 2004 - 10 – Cylinder Head Removal and Installation

This repair group provides removal and installation procedures for the cylinder head and associated components. The cylinder head is equipped with variable camshaft timing (sometimes referred to as VANOS, from the German words VAriable NOckenwellen Steuerung). Special tools and procedures are required to remove and install camshaft adjustment units and to time camshafts. Be sure to read each procedure through before starting work.
