Cartridge door and front cover assembly NOTE: The cartridge door assembly includes the cartridge door, Tray 1, and the front cover. 1. Remove the following components: ● Tray 2 cassette ● Left cover. See Left cover on page 13 . ● Scanner assembly. See Scanner assembly on page 13 . ● Control panel. See Control panel on page 15 . ● Right cover. See Right cover on page 17 . 2. Open the toner cartridge door and the rear jam access door. 3. Disconnect one connector (callout 1), and then disengage the cartridge-door assembly link arm (callout 3) by releasing two tabs in the pivot joint (callout 2). TIP: The link arm releases the fuser-pressure lever when the cartridge door is opened.
