Software Soft NA Product Guide Overview Key features Soft NA gives users the full functionality of Omron’s NA5 human machine interface (HMI) on an industrial PC (IPC) that can also run enterprise resource planning (ERP), manufacturing execution system (MES) or other software. Soft NA is part of Omron’s Sysmac solution. • Easy machine interface with Sysmac Studio software • HMI applications are portable and can be used on the IPC with Soft NA or the NA5 series HMI A controls objects toolbox allows designers to create representations of machines and factories on the IPC display and when in run mode, control the machine.

Soft NA is supported by Omron’s NY IPC line, which is designed for the factory floor and serves as the perfect host for a variety of software.

• Objects include pushbuttons, indicator lamps, gauges, flow meters, and machine graphical representations Applications • Sysmac-based systems utilizing NJ/NX controllers that require an HMI • Applications requiring an IPC for software and HMI for machine control • Applications where SCADA systems are too powerful or costly • Systems using Omron Windows 10 IPC with Sysmac NJ machine control or Sysmac NC controller • With the IPC, a wide selection of CPU, memory, solid state drive, display size options, and Windows operating systems (including Windows 10) Primary Benefits • Customers can choose between NA5 HMI or an IPC with Soft NA • Soft NA can replace a separate IPC and HMI when HMI machine control and computer power are both needed • Hardware computing power can be selected to maximize performance • Machine interfaces created with Sysmac Studio are portable between Soft NA and the hardware-based NA5 HMI • Structural images include blowers, conveyors, hoppers, motors, tanks, pipes • Available in one-, three- or ten-license packages • USB key for licensing
