Body Closure Manual 7.1.4.7 Removal and refitting engine hood pneumatic strut Removal procedure Note: - The removal and refitting shall be performed with the assistance of another technician. - You must act in close coordination with another technician when taking out the engine hood to avoid causing damage to the front windshield ceiling assembly. - The following is the removal and refitting of the left engine hood pneumatic strut, which can be referred to for the operations on the right side. 1. Remove the engine hood pneumatic strut. a. Pry up the spring clip with a flat screwdriver as indicated by the arrow. b.
