Body Closure Manual 7-7 Engine hood 7.1.3 Engine hood sheet metal 7.1.3.1 Removal and refitting of engine hood assembly Removal procedure Note: - The removal and refitting shall be performed with the assistance of another technician. - You must act in close coordination with another technician when taking out the engine hood to avoid causing damage to the front windshield assembly. 1. Remove the engine hood assembly. a. Pry up the spring clip with a flat screwdriver as indicated by the arrow. b. Disengage the left engine hood air spring assembly ① from the left engine hood air spring ball joint. c. Disengage the right engine hood air spring assembly.
