Engine Auto-Start/Stop System Driver Information Screen Messages This message indicates the Auto-Start system is enabled and will auto-start the truck's engine when the batteries discharge to a predetermined level. This message will be displayed to notify the operator that the Auto-Start system is attempting to start the engine. 3 After the momentary enable switch is pressed, this message will appear to let you know the Auto-Start system is ready to be activated. This message will appear to indicate the engine will be starting soon and allows an opportunity to override the engine start event. The Auto-Start Alarm will sound for five seconds prior to the engine starting.
The "Engine was unable to start" message indicates that the engine failed to start or shut down unexpectedly while the system was active. The fuel reminder message will be displayed after the Auto-Start Switch has been held to enable Auto-Start but before the system is fully enabled.
