Whe n checking the coolant, always wait for the engin e to cool down and check the sub tan Immediately after the engin e is stop ped, the coolant is at a hig h temperature and the radiator is unde r high internal pressure. If the cap is removed to check the c oolant level in t his condition, there is a hazard of burns. Wait f or the temperature to go down, then turn the cap slowly to re lease the press ure before r emovin 1.
Open the engine rea r cover and cooling cover . For details, see Section " COOLING COVER (P AGE 3-29)". FULL and LOW 2. Check th at the c oolant level is between the OW range on sub tan k ( 1). If the water level is low, add coolant through t he wate r filler port of s ub tank (1) to the FULL line. 3. After add ing coolant , tighten th e cap securel If the sub tank is empty, check f or leakage of water, then check the radi necessar ator water y, then add level. Ad coolant to d coolant to the sub tank.
