Remove precaution objects after installation. 2.4 Installation Direction and Space A cooling fan must be installed for EM500 inverter for forced air cooling. Inverter must be installed in vertical direction with enough space maintained to an adjacent object or a baffle (wall) for better cooling effect (see Figure 2–2). EM500 inverter (450 kW or above) must be installed with a cooling fan for forced air cooling.
