Hazardous situations 12After starting the car, remove the black jumper cable from the negative terminal of the battery on your car. 13Remove the black jumper cable from the negative terminal of the battery on the rescue vehicle. 14Remove the red jumper cable from the positive terminal of the battery on your car. 15Remove the red jumper cable from the positive terminal of the battery on the rescue vehicle. Tow the car ■ When pulling the car onto a flatbed truck, make sure there are no people or objects behind the car in case it suddenly rolls backwards. Failure to do so could lead to car damage, serious injury, or death. ■ Do not sit inside the car during towing.

Warning! 6 Connect the red jumper cable to the positive terminal of the battery on the rescue vehicle. 7 Connect the other end of the red jumper cable to the positive terminal of the battery on your car. The car must only be towed on a flatbed tow truck or on wheel dollies, with all four wheels off the road. Failure to do so could cause damage to the gearbox and high voltage components/electronics. 8 Connect the black jumper cable to the negative terminal of the battery on the rescue vehicle. 9 Connect the other end of the black jumper cable to the negative terminal of the battery on your car. 10Start the rescue vehicle.
11Depress the brake pedal in your car to start your car. 32
