Ignition System General The DIS (Direct Ignition System) in ’98 model is a 2-cylinder simultaneous ignition system which ignites 2-cylinders simultaneously with one ignition coil. However, the DIS in ’99 model is an independent ignition system which has one ignition coil for each cylinder.
