4 4.6 4.6.1 Single-axis controllers Wiring Important notes  Stop! No device protection in the event of too high mains voltages The mains input is not fused internally. Possible consequences: ƒ Destruction of the device if the mains voltage is too high. Protective measures: ƒ Observe the max. permissible mains voltage. ƒ Fuse the device correctly on the supply side against mains fluctuations and voltage peaks.  Stop! Overvoltage on components: On IT systems an earth fault in the installation can cause impermissible overvoltages. Possible consequences: Destruction of the device. Protective measures:

If the devices are operated on IT systems, the internal connection of the filters to the protective earth in the installation backplane has to be disconnected.  Note! Switching operations on the motor side of the controller are permitted for safety switch-off (emergency off). Please observe: ƒ When the controller is enabled, switching operations may lead to a response of the controller monitoring functions. ƒ The switching elements on the motor side must be rated for DC voltages with U DCmax = 800 V.  4.6-2 EDS94SPP101 EN 3.1-04/2007
