11. EXPLANATION OF COMPONENTS 11.1.1 A: CHECK MONITOR GROUP (Check items before starting) NOTICE When carrying out checks before starting, do not simply rely on the monitor. Always refer to the periodic mainten- ance items or “12. OPERATION” to carry out the checks. Park the machine on level ground and check the monitor lamps. Confirm that these monitor lamps light for about 3 sec- onds after the starting switch is turned to ON. If any moni- tor lamp does not light, ask your Komatsu distributor to in- spect it. / CHFCK CAUTION 1. RADIATOR COOLANT LEVEL MONITOR This monitor indicates a low radiator coolant level. If the monitor lamp flashes, check the coolant level and add water as required.
2. ENGINE OIL LEVEL MONITOR This monitor indicates a low oil level in the engine oil pan. If the monitor lamp flashes, check the oil level in the en- gine oil pan and add oil as required. 2-6
