Before starting the engine, check the oil and coolant levels. Shut off the engine. Use your hand to open the rain valve. Turn the valve counterclockwise pproximately 1 1/2-to 2 turns until draining occurs. Drain the filter sump of water until clear fuel is isible. Caution: Do not overtighten the valve.
Overtightening can damage the threads. Turn the valve clockwise to close the drain valve. Check N “ l c t N o L 4 ever operate the engine with the oil level below the L” (Low) mark or above the “H” (High) mark. Wait at east 5 minutes after shutting off the engine to heck the oil. This allows time for the oil to drain to he oil pan.
