Component description MS 5 injection pump The MS 5 injection pump, also known as a “control-slide pump” has a mechanism which regulates the start of injection by performing a “lifting / sliding” movement. The pump comprises a heavy-duty conventional injection module, as used on the familiar P-pumps, a flange-mounted electromagnetic fuel volume regula- tor, in place of the mechanical regulator, and an electromagnetic regulator for the start of injection (pilot stroke / start of delivery regulator).
