11. EXPLANATION OF COMPONENTS The following is an explanation of the devices needed for operating the machine. To carry out suitable operations correctly and safely, it is impor- tant to understand fullythe methods of operating the equipment and the meanings of the displays. 11.1 METERS AND LAMPS 1 Q AE079921 1. ENGINE WATER TEMPERATURE GAUGE This gauge indicates the cooling water temperature. When the indicator is in the green range during operation, the water temperature is normal. If the indicator moves from the green range into the red range during operation, stop the machine and run the engine with no load at medium speed until the water temperature goes down.
After starting the engine, warm up it until the indicator moves into the green range. AE077.220 2. TORQUE CONVERTER OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE This gauge indicates the torque converter lubricating oil tem- perature. When the indicator is in the green range during operation, the torque converter oil temperature is normal. If the indicator moves from the green range into the red range during operation, reduce the load and wait for the temperature to go down. 2-4
