MAY 2003 1. Disconnect the power tilt switch 3P connector and remove the harness from the harness clips. POWER TILT 3P CONNECTOR 2. Disconnect the flush plug cap from the right engine under cover. HARNESS CLIPS FLUSH PLUG CAP 3. Use a screwdriver and carefully remove the cap below the exhaust outlets. 4. Remove the twenty 6 x 17 mm special bolts and remove the left engine under cover. Carefully lay the left engine cover on protective padding in front of and to the side of the engine. The power tilt/trim angle sensor wire harness does not have to be disconnected. 5. Remove the two 6 x 25 mm hex bolts, the two 6 x 37 mm bolts, the 6 x 17 mm special bolt and the front separate cover. 6.
Remove the water indicator hose from the right engine cover. Lay the right engine cover on protective padding.
