If the sprocket is the rear of the machine, the reverse travel pilot lamp will light up, and the direction of operation of the travel levers will be reversed (FORWARD REVERSE, left right), so be extremely careful when operating the travel levers. G Before travelling, check again that there is no one in the surrounding area, and that there are no obstacles. G Before travelling, sound the horn to warn people in the area. G Always operate the machine only when seated. G Do not allow anyone apart from the operator to ride on the machine. G Check that the travel alarm works properly. G Fix the operator's cpmpartment doors and windows in posi- tion securely.

On jobsites where there is a hazard of flying objects or of objects entering the operator’s compartment, check that the door and windows are securely closed. G If there is an area to the rear of the machine which cannot be seen, position a signal person. Take special care not to hit other machines or people when turning or swinging the machine. Always be sure to carry out the above precautions even when the machine is equipped with mirrors. 2-24
