SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR OPERATION OPERATIONS ON SLOPES G When operating on slopes, there is danger that the machine may lose its balance and tip over during turning or dump body operations. Never turn or operate the dump body on slopes. G It is dangerous to turn from the uphill direction to the downhill direction when the dump body is loaded. Never carry out such operations. PROHIBITED OPERATIONS G When operating at the bottom of cliffs, there is danger of the soil collapsing or rocks falling. Do not operate in such places. G The edge of cliffs or road shoulders are unstable and may collapse, so there is danger of the machine falling. Keep away from cliffs or road shoulders.
G Do not suddenly start, stop, or turn the machine. There is danger that it may tip over. G Do not carry out dumping operations on slopes or rough ground. The center of gravity will change during the dump- ing operation, causing danger of the machine tipping over. OPERATE CAREFULLY ON SNOW G Snow-covered or frozen surfaces are slippery, so be extremely careful when traveling or operating the machine, and do not operate the levers suddenly. Even a slight slope may cause the machine to slip, so be particularly careful when working on slopes. G With frozen ground surfaces, the ground becomes soft when the temperature rises, and this may cause the machine to tip over.
G If the machine enters deep snow, there is a hazard that it may tip over or become buried in the snow. Be care- ful not to leave the road shoulder or to get trapped in a snow drift. G When clearing snow, the road shoulder and objects placed beside the road are buried in the snow and cannot be seen. There is a hazard of the machine tipping over or hitting covered objects, so always carry out opera- tions carefully. G If the load inside the dump body is frozen, do not operate the dump body. There is danger that the machine may tip over. 2-27
