Preparation for Electrical Welding On Body Structure To prevent damage to ECU by electrical welding, observe the following procedures: 1. Turn battery disconnect switch to "OFF" position. 2. Disconnect the connector between ECU and machine, and the connector between ECU and engine. 3. Proceed with welding. ON OFF 4. After welding, connect the connector between ECU and machine, and the connector between ECU and engine. FG020630 5. Clean battery compartment. Figure 43 6. This could cause unexpected movement, and result in death or serious injury. Never remove counterweight or front attachment unless the upper structure is in-line with the lower structure.
