Komatsu — Check before starting

3.3 Operation Operation Check fuel level, add fuel When adding fuel, never let the fuel overflow. This may cause a fire. If any fuel is spilled, wipe it up completely. Never bring flames near fuel because it is highly flammable and dangerous. NOTE If the engine has run out of fuel and has stopped, it is nec- essary to operate the priming pump to bleed the air com- pletely from the fuel line before starting the engine again. Take care not to let the engine stop because of lack of fuel. If the engine has run out of fuel, the air bleeding operation can be carried out more quickly if the fuel tank is com- pletely filled with fuel. 1.

Turn the engine starting switch to the ON position and check the fuel level with fuel level gauge (G). OFF After checking, turn the switch back to the OFF position. ON 2.
